Oddballs are fish who don't really fit any of our other categories. Most of these are larger and predatory and should only be kept in tanks where there's no risk of eating the neighbors. If you are looking for a more peaceful large fish, try our Centerpiece page.
The Oddball category is for fish that will reliably feed on pellets without their health degrading, since many predators require frozen or even live foods. Even so, it is best for these critters to be fed by a person, rather than an autofeeder.
Of course, this is not all of the strange and unusual fish available in the hobby, but these are the little monsters with the simplest care. If you are interested in a different species that you don't see here, please contact us. It is not unlikely that we can get what you are looking for, provided that your tank is suitable.
