The Salty Difference
Everyone knows the difference between swimming in a lake or an ocean, but do you know the difference in the fish? In general, saltwater fish are larger and more colorful, but require more specialized care and dedicated planning. A saltwater tank draws the eye with its movement and color. Each fish is very different in appearance and behavior, making you feel like you have a truly balanced ecosystem right in front of you.
Our Services
We manage all of the maintenance and upkeep of the aquarium. We also provide everything needed to properly tend to the fish. This includes all foods (frozen or dry), water additives, and small amounts of medication if the need arises.
Decor: Unlike freshwater aquariums, most saltwater tanks do not have their decor changed out. Most of our tanks will have corals instead. To see a few examples of our saltwater aquariums, please view our Photo Gallery!
Scheduling: In general, we prefer to service saltwater aquariums twice a month or more and will work with you to find a schedule that is right for everyone.
Range: We are based in Tyler, TX and serve most of the surrounding area, from Mt. Pleasant to Marshall. However, we do charge a distance fee for certain locations outside of Tyler. Please contact us for details.
One Request
We take great pleasure in caring for beautiful and well-balanced tanks, and great pride in the health of any fish we supply. Every saltwater animal we care for is put through a rigorous four-week quarantine procedure. Because most fish illnesses are very contagious and very deadly, we ask that our clients do not purchase livestock elsewhere. You are not contractually obligated to do so and are free to check our prices against our competitors, but introducing new fish can make care more difficult and lead to unnecessary losses.
If you still wish to purchase your animals elsewhere, we have a compromise available. While we will continue service (and provide suggestions toward future additions), we will no longer sell fish to you. If you wish to add animals to your tank yourself, please be forward and honest with us about it so that we can continue to provide the best care possible and avoid frustrations on all sides.
