Danios

Danios are similar to tetra in that they are generally small fish with subtle coloration and tight schooling behavior. However, their active nature and frantic feeding response makes them very different from tetra.

Activity: While these are small fish, they are incredibly active and must be given enough space. Similarly, their fast lifestyle can stress out other small fish. Danios are a very fun fish to watch, but their tankmates must be chosen carefully to ensure everyone is able to live happy and healthy lives.

Schooling: Danios should be kept in larger groups than most schooling fish, with groups consisting of at least eight individuals. However, groups of twelve or more are recommended.
